Quick Trick For Using Double Faced Carpet Tape

Double faced carpet tape has a “throw away” vinyl liner on one of the sticky sides of the tape. This is so you can get the tape unrolled. Without it, the tape, sticky side to sticky side’ would create a permanent bond. It becomes impossible to unspool without that liner.

Peeling off the liner can be a bit of a challenge since it is stuck to the tape.

Instead of cutting the tape with scissors or a knife, tear it instead.

The jagged edge created when the tape is torn gives you an edge to grab the liner, making it much easier to get the tape ready to use.
